Calvin Rey is a Brooklyn-based jazz baritone saxophonist and recent graduate of the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of music. His early jazz education took place in Seattle, Washington, where he played in the internationally recognized Roosevelt High School Jazz Band, and competed twice in the Essentially Ellington competition.

After high school, Calvin enrolled at SUNY Purchase to continue his musical studies. Since moving to New York, Calvin has played at well-known venues like Dizzy’s Club, Merkin Hall, and The Django. He has also headlined at Seattle Jazz Fellowship.
